I am a portrait artist. Although I thoroughly enjoy the actual process of doing the portrait, I think my greatest pleasure is seeing the satisfaction in the eyes of the one receiving the portrait.
When I was about 6, I happened to do a sketch of my grandfather that actually looked like him and everyone was amazed. So, naturally, I have been doing portraits ever since. Of course I had art classes throughout grade and high school. Then, I became a "non-traditional" college student in my 40's. One day one of the other students asked an art professor how one could get an "A' in his class. His reply was, "I have no Michaleangelos, I give no A's." At least, then I knew why he always added a " minus " to the A's he gave me.
if you'd like a personal portrait done, please contact me. I usually use a photo of the subject(s), and at times have used more than one photo to create a desired group portrait for the client.
Again, thank you.
